First Aid Best Practices
Where new nurses are joining the healthcare organization and this is part of onboarding.
April 2021
Objective: Allow employees to recognize, identify and implement best practices for first Aid
Audience: Employees at a hospital
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360
Interactive sliders, and layers for learners to engage with on-screen images
Problem: New nurses will be joining the hospital and will need to review first aid before starting their duties.
Process: I considered this issue because First Aid in general is extremely crucial. I began my endeavor after researching publications and ideas. When I began this project, I was still learning the fundamentals of layers and sliders. After watching a few videos from my mentor to gain a general concept, I implemented the new concepts and got good results.
Results: Participants learned essential First Aid tips. They did this at their own pace.
Self- Care: Health and Wellness
December 2020
Objective: Allow employees to recognize, identify and implement ways to take care of themselves
Audience: Employees and teachers at school during the pandemic
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360
Interactive sliders, and layers for learners to engage with on-screen images
Problem: Research shows that since the start of the pandemic, 67% of employees are feeling less motivated at home due to stress. This is a problem because it makes employees less productive
Process: Before I started this project, I wanted to learn the best features to make my design more appealing. So, I watched a couple of live sessions with Devlin Peck and understood, it is all about the four basic principles: contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity. I have been following these principles ever since.
I thought of this topic because self-care in general is so important. I found a couple of articles and ideas and started my project from there. When I first started this project, I was still learning the basics of layers and sliders. After watching LinkedIn learning to get an overall idea, I watched short videos on sliders as was not able to get it. I kept trying and seeing my preview until I got it. I even wanted to incorporate highlights while the learner is searching items in the rooms to give them an idea where to click. This took me days and learning until I got it.
I also learned how to set the answers as it was at the beginning of the drag and drop when they player tries again. I would use the preview slides every time I added something new to make sure every button and functionality was running smoothly until I published it. Even after I published it, I showed to a couple connections in my community to make sure it was done well and gained great feedback to make it better.
After I was done, my family members tried it out and loved it. Even a connection/buddy in my community told me this is great and organized. We must meet and talk about it
Results: It helped participants learn about the main tips to follow to take care of their own needs. They completed this at their own pace which allowed them to be actively engaged

Process: When I thought about this project, I wanted to think of something in the medical field, I thought about First Aid since it something we all need to know as Educators, Nurses and other Essential careers. So, I searched on the internet for resources.
When I started this, I wanted to use sliders and markers.
Every couple of topics on the slides, I would show my husband how it is going as he is in the medical field. Even tested the functionality after I have, to make sure it was all working properly. I have both my first sample and my final sample on the left.
To ensure their understanding To ensure their understanding, I guided them through step by step guide on how to use these tools to help their patients. It is used as an independent E learning platform.

Pumpkin Pie Challenge
January 2021
Objective: Allow learners to implement and assemble how to bake a pumpkin pie
Audience: Parents, Adults or anybody who wants to learn how to bake a pumpkin pie
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360
Interactive for learners to engage with on-screen images
Process: It is very interesting how I thought about this topic. I never made a real pumpkin pie until November of 2019 after we carved two pumpkins and had lots of pumpkin pulps. I thought to myself why not make a pumpkin pie challenge.
In this project I wanted to look fun with steps and a video clip as well. So, I got background pictures to go with the theme and inserted the video. I created the check boxes for my learners to know what they have completed. I created layers to allow the fridge and other items to change states.
Then I kept thinking what I should do next by brainstorming my thoughts and writing it in my notes on my phone. Then I would test and try each day until it came to the final project. I even learned how to create a drag and drop question by hiding the items soon it Is dragged to the bowl. I created GIFs to show certain steps to look appealing as well. At the end I checked the functionality and my family members watched it to see they liked it. Even recently a connection in my community said "loved it and makes me want to make a pumpkin pie now."
To ensure their understanding, I guided them through step by step guide on how to prepare and make a pumpkin pie. It is used as an independent E learning platform.
Results: It helped Parents, Adults learn, understand, and apply the steps to make a pumpkin pie. They completed this at their own pace which allowed them to be actively engaged

Birthday Party
January 2021
Objective: Allow learners to identify, execute, assemble and prepare for a birthday party
Audience: Parents who want to prepare a birthday party for their children
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360
Interactive hotspots, and layers for learners to engage with on-screen images
First Attempt of Birthday Party:
Go on and Interact with this sample.
Process: The way I brainstormed this project was from games I used to play when I was a kid. I wanted to go to different rooms to collect clues or ideas to make a story. I used 3 rooms where I would think I can get clues for a birthday party for a teenager. I kept brainstorming each day and applying ideas until the final project.
Every slide or layer I made, I would see the preview to make sure it’s going as I wanted. I thought of what I can have in each room or what clues to put. I thought of main things we need to prepare a birthday party such as decorations and snacks. Then I kept thinking what I should do next by brainstorming my thoughts and writing it in my notes on my phone. To make it more attractive then I added GIFs.
To ensure their understanding, I guided them through a step by step guide on how to prepare and have a birthday party for their kids. It is used as an independent E learning platform
Results: It helped Parents, Adults learn, understand, and apply the steps to prepare a birthday party for their kids. They completed this at their own pace which allowed them to be actively engaged

Customer Service Skills
February 2021
Objective: Allow Customer Service Officers to identify, examine and execute by using their interpersonal and communication skills to resolve customer issues.
Audience: Customer Service Officer
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360 and Google Slides
Interactive dial, tabs, and layers for learners to engage with on-screen images
Process: Creating this project, I wanted to include skills for customer service and a few conversations between Customer Service and their client. As usual, I would brainstorm and write notes on how I want to present this. I wanted to incorporate dials and layers to implement engagement and learning.
I searched the internet for ideas of customer problems and how they should and should not reply. Here I created buttons with different states when the learner hovers their mouse. I also incorporated tabs move in layers.
Through feedback someone suggested to make a timer between the speech bubbles to go smoothly. After that, I submitted my project to my community, and they suggested great tips such as contrast checker to have better color coordination and adding more visuals on my first couple of slides to balance with my other slides towards the end
To ensure their understanding, I guided them through a step by step guide on the main interpersonal and communication skills to prepare them to interact and help them with their customers. It is used as an independent E learning platform
Results: It helped Customer Service learn about the different interpersonal and communication skills to help their customers. They completed this at their own pace which allowed them to be actively engaged
